The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) School Transportation Unit is offering this online course to assist public, charter school districts, service providers, and Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) with training for small vehicle activity operators. This class provides rules, laws, interpretations, suggestions, options, industry standards, best practices and ideas that are consistent with the Colorado Minimum Standards Governing School Transportation Vehicles, 1 CCR 301-25; and the Colorado Rules for the Operation, Maintenance and Inspection of School Transportation Vehicles 1 CCR 301-26, which promote safe transportation integrity in school transportation departments. It is hoped that this class will serve as a resource to assist transportation providers in their efforts to provide the mandatory training for small vehicle activity operators. This course provides only a portion of the requirements that must be met prior to transporting students.
