Completion requirements
Preparation for the initial meeting:
Schedule meeting dates (maybe use a Doodle Poll or other scheduling application).
Pacing of meeting dates should be spaced according to the availability of participants and the amount of work required for each meeting. Some meetings will require an “Authentic Task” to be completed and brought to the following meeting for review, feedback, or discussion. Review the requirements for each module meeting and plan accordingly.
- Be sure participants have access to the online course. Participants can register for one of the seasonal sessions (spring, summer or fall) via the SLD Listserv or they can access all the same content as a guest here: Equipped for Reading Success open-source, guest-access course: https://sitesed.cde.state.co.us/course/view.php?id=382
Make sure all participants have a book. The book can be purchased at the Equipped for Reading Success website:
If this book study is going to result in district professional development units (PDUs), make sure the logistics for obtaining PDUs are clarified (number of hours, required paperwork, etc)
