  • Review some of the characteristics of compensators (see table 13.1 in chapter 13). Do you detect any of these characteristics in some of your students?

  • How might you use the information to address the needs of your compensators? How will you use assessment to help you better understand your compensators?

  • Work with your peers to design an action plan involving assessment and intervention activities, to address the needs of one of your students you suspect might be a compensator.
