Addressing Compensating Students EfRS Chapter 13

Hello Book Study Participants,

For our next book study meeting, we will be discussing Module 15. Please be prepared to discuss the following:

• Review some of the characteristics of compensators (see table 13.1 in chapter 13). Do you detect any of these characteristics in some of your students?

• How might you use the information to address the needs of your compensators? How will you use assessment to help you better understand your compensators?

We will also engage in the following activity:

• Work with your peers to design an action plan involving assessment and intervention activities, to address the needs of one of your students you suspect might be a compensator.
