The Local Services Plan (LSP)

  • Overview: An introduction to the LSP, its significance, and its role in the CDE School Health Services Program.
  • Components: A detailed breakdown of the various elements that make up the LSP.
  • Strategies & Expenditure Allowability: Insight into the best practices for developing the LSP and guidelines on permissible expenditures.
  • Relevant Support Tools: Tools and resources to assist in the effective creation and implementation of the LSP.

The Reimbursement Spending Report (RSR)

  • Lifecycle: An introductory guide to the RSR, its importance, and how it ties into the School Health Services Program.
  • Components: An in-depth look at the different parts that constitute the RSR.
  • Expenditure Narratives: Additional support for writing comprehensive RSR narratives.
  • Relevant Support Tools: Essential tools and resources to aid in the seamless preparation and execution of the RSR.

Parental Consent Forms & Annual Notifications

  • Parental Consent & Annual Notifications: An exploration of the significance of parental consent forms & annual notifications in the School Health Services Program.

All course modules have a section to provide feedback or share a best practice. Doing so will help us in future course updates.

What is not covered in this course:

This course will only cover the CDE portion of the School Health Services Program. This includes the Local Services Plan, Reimbursement Spending Reports, and Parental Consent. CDE's side of the program is how Medicaid reimbursement dollars are spent and tracked on an annual basis.
