This course focuses on the application of key concepts and the decision making responsibilities of hearing officers. Participants will review concise summaries of the original modules, access practical tools and resources to support the expulsion hearing process, work through case studies designed to challenge their thinking, and receive updates on state discipline data and relevant legislative developments.
The course is designed to reinforce the integration of legal requirements, educational considerations, child development, and due process throughout the expulsion hearing process. Through realistic scenarios and guided reflection, participants will strengthen their ability to conduct fair, legally sound, and developmentally informed expulsion hearings.
