This crash course is designed for adult educators, offering a brief introduction to the basics of distance and digital education. It covers essential terminology, concepts, and instructional approaches commonly used in the field. Participants will also delve into how both educators and learners interact and create various types of presence in digital and distance learning environments. By the course’s conclusion, educators will be equipped to confidently manage their own distance and/or digital learning environment and incorporate best practices into their teaching.
This course is part of the IDEAL Consortium Crash Course Series. IDEAL Crash Courses are self-paced, multimedia introductory courses that take approximately thirty minutes to complete. Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
