Learner Objectives
This course will guide participants through the essential steps of making Microsoft Word documents accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. You’ll learn how to apply accessibility best practices from the start—such as using built-in heading styles, meaningful hyperlink text, and accessible tables—while also gaining experience with Word’s Accessibility Checker and other helpful tools.
Whether you're creating reports, memos, or templates, this course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to ensure your content is usable, readable, and compliant with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 and Section 508). No prior accessibility experience is required—just a willingness to learn and improve the impact of your work.
