What is a Meaningful Career Conversation?
A career conversation is the interactive and dynamic process of supporting an individual to identify, prepare for, and pursue a career path that is well suited to their needs, interests and aptitudes.
Advisees might need support in:
- Identifying skills, interests, and aptitudes
- Exploring career possibilities and analyzing economic opportunities
- Identifying solutions to challenges
- Preparing for the individualized steps required to enter a job or education program
A career conversation has no specific duration – it can take place over the course of an hour, months, or a lifetime.
